gtx 960m laptop or 960-970 PC

hey guys, just signed up so this is my first thread on these forums so i hope i'm posting this in the right place, anyway, faced with a hard choice building a PC which totals up to 1550 with a 970 in it, 1360 with a 960 or to buy a laptop with a gtx960m and an i7-6700hq for $1600 now i understand there will be quite a performance difference on the mobile gpu but for the sake of portability it might be a worthy sacrifice, but i just can't decided whether i want full 1080p ultra settings gaming or to have a laptop and the portability but be stuck on medium-high settings for the next couple years? thanks in advance!

Why purchase a laptop with a 960m for 1600 when you can get a 980m laptop in the price range of 1300-1600? I personally bought a clevo laptop in june for 1600 with a 980m 4gb was a good deal at the time, but now I see 980m 8gb going for 1300.

You should keep in mind that portability for such a laptop is not really good. You will need a fan down the laptop if you go with gtx 980m and also processor will be a problem too especially if you go with gtx 960m. Finally, are you kidding me? gtx 960m won't last for the next few years with medium settings!!!!
