Does it make any difference whether the person has a 922,or a 920?
I'm wondering because quite a few of the "guide down" posts seem to be from
920 owners.

My comments don't solve your problem but I just got a good laugh when
I read that the IPG isn't free unless you subscribe to a package. The IPG
isn't of much use for non-subscribers.......

The IPG is free. I called NPS and they activated the guide for 1 year and
there was no charge. The guide also has listings for the free channels like
PBS & The Outdoor Channel among others.

That's not what Netlink/Superstar told me.

It depends on your provider. There are even one or two providers
that charge extra for turning on the IPG.

I did this back in Aug. Maybe NPS is charging now. The only way to find out
is to give them a call.

Somebody has to pay for uplinking and transmitting that IPG and all those
"free" channels. If you want 'em to last consider helping C band\4DTV stay
alive by getting a suscription!Othewise, that receiver will one day be a
paperweight!

I'm not subscribing to anything until the networks quit placing ads
embedded in the programming - that includes their network logos! When I'm
paying for my programming I expect to see a clean feed. I put up with the
commercials between program segments but enough is enough!

Get Movie channels then! While I undertstand where you coming from,in that
the commercials are becoming bit much,by the same token, you're shooting
yourself(and all of us in the foot),,,if we all don't support C band -one
day our receivers will be a paper weight! So,come on Scrooge -get a
suscription -support it or lose it!

Sounds like you need to do a soft reset:

Go to G0-7, with the unit still "ON", pull the power plug for about a minute,
then plug it back in! After the "warm-up", it should start looking for guide
info. If it does not, click the guide and wait a few minutes.
