Halo Tritton Warhead Static Problem

There is always a phss/static noise emitting from my headset. I've come through and done all the possible solutions listed on Tritton website (http/support.madcatz.com/Knowledgebase/List/Index/132/halo-4-warhead) but none seem to have worked. Support gave me 2 "solutions" before telling me to RMA it but I don't want to because my headset would end up being replaced with an inferior one. I feel like something is causing interference through the headset but I can't figure out what it is (I went ahead and unplugged everything near the Xbox, turned off my phone, laptop and unplugged my routers). Every other aspect of the headset works flawlessly.

The headset is hooked up directly to my Xbox through the digital audio slot, I've also tried analog but that did not solve the constant in/out static.

Any suggestions?

Neither, it's sounds like "fizzing" or a very faint static that would be on those older TVs when switched to a channel that did not have anything programed to it (those black, white and grey channels with pshshshsh but a lot quieter)

Always, I'm no more than 2 meters away from the headphone's base.

It may be a snapped copper wire in the line then, which means it still sends a sound signal but it gets distorted due to signal loss when the slightest vibrations make the severed ends rub together. Its not as complicated as I just made it sound but thats the best explanation I can give you for why its doing it. You can try to re Solder the wire if that is the problem or just have it RMA'd.

What wire are we talking about? The headset is 100% wireless. The only wires used are the power (to the base) and digital audio wires. The "pssh" sound never changes it's volume level (which is low, I can mask it but it becomes really annoying when playing quieter games)

I got the same problem here. Did you found any solutions? I don't want to return them back to best buy but i think this is what i will end up doing. Btw, someone said it could be the ac adapter or the plug... I tried the headset without the optical cable and it didn't work, so we are left with 1: the ac adapter 2: the base station and 3; the headset itself.

I got used to it, I also drowned the faint "pshh" with sightly higher game volume when playing alone, while chatting; my friends voices were good enough to drown it.

Hey ..... It's to do with the optical cable ....... The headset comes with another cable that has a red and white port on them that connects with the av cables ......... When u use this the headset doesn't buzz ..... In my case anyway ...... However once i switched back to digital sound it made the buzzing sound again ..... I bought a new optical cable and it works absolutely fine
