Hard drive inaccessible

So early this year I bought new parts for my pc because it wasn’t working I thought it was everything but the hard drive. Finding out hdd wasn’t working so I was broke so I took the hdd out of my laptop and used it until a month ago. I try put it back in laptop but it saids hdd is inaccessible. Any way to fix it?

What did you use for a month after removing the disk - the laptop or the disk? Have you looked in BIOS to see if the disk is registered there?
