I ha

ve come across the no rebootable device found error on my laptop. My laptop is dell inspiron 11 3000 series. I tried most of the mentioned measures as diagnosis and boot changes. But it does not seem to work. It shows some sort of hard drive error. My laptop is out of warranty and the dell team has asked me to get a new hard drive installed. I want to confirm if I should go ahead with their idea or is there anything that can be done without shelling out so much money?

Thanks
Vaibhav

Solution
You could try pulling the HDD and trying to access it with another machine.
Try to see if you can navigate the drive.
If you can't, then:
-Listen to the HDD (if it isn't a SSD) If it is making repetitive clicks. starting and stopping and doing the same thing over and over, you probably have a dead drive.
Bad hard drive sounds
If you can navigate the drive, then try to boot from your drive.
See if you can get that machine to boot - but it probably won't work.
