Hardware repair for screen snapped apart from my keyboard?

My mini Inspiron had the screen snapped off of the keyboard. When I plug it in, it powers up and the screen is white instead of like normal.

What can I do to take it apart, fix it, and put it back together?

Novice skills here, at best.

Yes it is. I don't see the 1010 part anywhere on it, but I think it is.

In that case, I'd scrap it and buy another one for 70 bucks on ebay. But that's just me.

Thanks, but I would like the satisfaction of learning how to do something and possibly mastering that skill set myself.

Plus, going out and buying something new isn't always the best for our planet. ( whether we are recycling or not.)

Good for you! I actually lied, LOL. I can't remember the last time I just threw something away without attempting to repair it. Ever since I was a little kid, I've taken everything apart and put it back together. I'm 58 now, and I think I've only called on any sort of repairman maybe a couple times in my life.
