Ive been researching a ton the last couple weeks and am having trouble figuring out which laptop to buy. I'll mainly be using it for web browsing with multiple tabs, web applications, Microsoft office, video uploading (I'll edit on a different system). And video playback like Netflix.
I'm hoping to get something under $400 because I may upgrade in 4 years. But I'd like to get something that is fast for what I'll be using it for, and something that won't get sluggish after a year or 2. Especially when windows 10 comes out. It would be great to find something that can easily accept a ram upgrade later.
I'm mainly looking at these, but it's gotten so confusing with all the processors and ram sizes. I thought more ran was good but when I played with some in the stores, sometimes the lower Rams ran quicker. I think an i3 is better than an AMD but I don't know:

Or maybe for what I'm doing I don't need any of that and can just get this cheap Asus at Amazon, but I keep thinking that one will get old and slow in a year:

Agghhh. There are too many options that don't clearly show what's best.
