Having trouble connecting jbl 600

Im having a little bit of trouble connecting my jbl 600 into my sharp 3D tv. The reciver is a bit old so it doesnt support hdmi cables. Any suggestions?

Without the model of the TV you won't get an exact answer.
If the receiver has optical audio input then use that. Check the TV manual on how to use it. You may have to turn it on, turn the TV speakers off, and change the audio output type,
If your TV has headphone or analog audio output use that.
