HD TV to Onkyo Receiver

Hi,
I'm trying to connect my RCA HD 1080P TV to Onkyo TX 8255 Receiver. I've had no success so any suggestion would be very much appreciated.

Your receiver has analog RCA stereo inputs.
Can't check on what outputs your TV has without model number.
If it has headphone out use that.
If it has digital audio out (coax or optical) then you will need a digital to analog converter.
Check that the TV can be set to output in PCM, If not you need to get one that will accept a 5.1 input. Parts Express has one that does.
