When I connect my TV to my laptop via HDMI the picture works perfect but sound is only playing through the laptop. Going to the sound options there's only the Realtek speakers under playback(disabled devices are showing). In device manager under Sound there are 2 items:
Realtek High Definition Audio
High Definition Audio Device (this has a warning sign next to it indicating that it can't start up)
I've tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling, but to no avail.
The TV can easily play sounds with the same HDMI cable through my XBOX.
Any ideas?

You need to install the HDMI audio drivers downloaded from your laptop manufacturer's web site. If you tell us the make and model of the laptop, we may be able to assist your better.
