Hdmi one source, two display with 2 dvi connections

I have a new laptop and I want to hook it up to my two monitors that each have dvi inputs. Can I use my one hdmi output from my laptop to connect to the two monitors with a simple hdmi to 2 dvi splitter?

yes it should be possible but you will only see a clone of each display. there will be no way to configure them as seperate display's

Hi

It depends on how expensive was the laptop....the cheap ones have problems running ONE screen out on HDMI....

I seriously doubt it will run two unless it has VERY expensive graphics....I am taking laptop prices over £2000...
