Hi

I have two 55 HD screens from Samsung, one in my living room and the other in my bedroom. I wonder if it is possible to split the signal from the cable box so that the image appears on both screens?

Is it possible to use a passive splitter which is cheaper or do it need to be an active powered one?

Thanks for the help.

HDMI is a high bandwidth digital signal. You need to use a active splitter. These passive units are nothing but junk and never work. You can check KVMSwitchTech as they offer a wide range of high quality HDMI Splitter and HDMI cable products. I have used them for a few applications in the past with great success.

americanaudiophile suggested using the monoprix 1x2 HDMI active splitter. I bought this product. It works really great. Good quality video and audio. Decent price. Anything to do with HDMI is high priced. So, this was not bad considering ....
