i recently purchased a samsung 5203 smart tv. I am wondering if there is a way to hook up my old technics receiver, samsung dvd blu ray (hdmi outlet) to logitech 5.1 set of a subwoofer and four speakers. the problem i encountered is that the subwoofer has speakers outlets for split wires as does the speakers. the subwoofer has it's own plug for electricity and i'm sure the technics has a much better sound. I am hoping there is a simple adaptor i can purchase I should have mentioned the logitech subwoofer has a nine pin circular pin, 2,3,4,. i do believe there are 9 pins that are on the market that would be useless to me. simple 5 and 4 pins. HELP!!!

Solution
The BD player connects to the TV with HDMI.
Assuming that the TV has an optical audio output and your receiver has an optical input that would get the audio to the receiver. If the receiver only has RCA audio inputs you would need a converter like this one

This link discusses how to get the sub to work but you need the Logitech control pod

Make sure to adjust the receiver speaker set up correctly (all small with sub). The sats connect directly to the receiver speaker terminals.
