Headphone recommendations...

I want to buy very high quality headphones for my PC but not having spent this much before I wanted to see what people who know more about quality headphones then I do. My price range is around $200 but I can go a bit higher. The sound card on my PC is a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional so I'd need it to be at least compatible with that. I'd use it for movies, music (mostly rock and electronica) and gaming to give a general idea. A friend recommended Sennheiser HD 598's but I think more options would be nice before spending some serious cash, any ideas? Please and thanks

i own a pair of audiotechnica athm50s myself. the nice thing is that they are low resistance which means even portable electronics such as phones and mp3 players can drive them.

audiotechnica and sennheiser are both good choices.
