My problem started a few days ago, when all of the sudden my headphones only played sound on left side. I have tried everything, plugging , unplugging, reinstalling drivers. Nothing, nada, zit. Alternative to my gaming headphones, I have some earplugs with only 1 jack for sound and mic. Same thing, only left side works.

Same thing for front/back sound panel. The Realtek sound manager detected as if I had something plugged in at the front panel and at the back. I've disabled the front panel from BIOS, no success.

I've reinstalled windows, and now it's even awkward. Headphones don't work at all, earplugs work ok. I have a ASRock B85M mainboard and using realtek drivers.

The earphones probably don't work because you need a TRSS to TRS plug adapter.

Most likely your headphones are just broken. Try testing them somewhere else like your cellphone

After reinstalling Windows, the headphones don't work at all and the earphones work perfectly. At the moment I'm using the earphones and the microphone from the headset and it's all good, but if I plug in the sound for the headset, I don't hear anything. The headphones are working, tested them on my laptop.
