Headphones very low volume

Hi!I bought a pair of logitech g230 and they have extremely low volume.I have a msi h81m-p33 mobo with realtek sound drivers.I plugged these headphones into an imac late 2009 and they had really loud volume.Maybe it had a better sound card, so, if i buy a sound card, say asus xonar dg, will my volume be louder?

Did you try plugging it into the back audio panels?

The front audio panels are broken, so i always use the back ones.

rear jacks are normally not as heavily amplified as the front since back is meant for speakers while front is meant for headphones. you might be fine if you just fix your jack.

the xonar dg should also work in case you did not want to do that. similarly, a cheap amplifier would also do the trick.

Back with a problem.Today i opened up my case and i don't have a free pci slot.So what low budget usb sound card would you recommend?

fiio e6 is just an amp but would work to boost volume if that is all you want.

if you want a soundcard, the creative omni will certainly work. the xonar u3 might work.. but i've not heard much about it to say one way or the other.
