So, ever since i've updated to Windows 10, my microphone on HyperX Cloud 1 headset has stopped working. I tried everything: switching front- and back-panel jacks, updating drivers, ticking and unticking every option in mic settings and Realtek HD options - nothing helps. Weird thing is that a standalone mic works perfectly fine, but I'm still interested in fixing the one on my headset.

Has anyone here encountered something like this?

Probably just realtek drivers being buggy, try clean installing the realtek drivers, and make sure to disable the automatic driver update.

Thx for the answer mate. You mean disabling auto-update in Windows or just Realtek drivers?

Windows of course, the new thing in 10 is to keep drivers "updated" to the newest that companies provide, but unlike Nvidia (which sends 90% of their drivers through WHQC), many companies send older, sometimes broken drivers to microsoft and end up having 10 replace new drivers directly from the manufacturers with the old ones the manufacturers sent to microsoft.

I tried to do that right now and nothing changed. Headset mic still doesn't work, standalone mic still works fine. You got any more ideas?
