Headset problems with microphone

Hello I have a steelseries siberia elite prism and for some reason the mic thats built isnt working when I'm using the usb sound card that it came with. If I use it with the mic and headphone jacks it does work but then it doesnt have the illumination nor can i adjust profiles via the steelseries engine. So what im asking is how do i fix this.

Try to Attach some other mic jack in the mic port of the sound card , See if the that mic works , if not then must be a problem with the sound card or if it does then maybe your cable from the headset has some problem.

I uninstalled and reainstalled the drivers for the headset and soundcard and for some reason it started working now. tnx for help
