Headset sound issues

Turtle Beach X12 through a PC. Getting sound on the left & the mic works fine. Right ear isn't working. I can hear the right test chime through the left ear. I took both speakers apart and confirmed there are no loose or disconnected wires. I couldn't see any issues at all from a soldering point. I put everything back together and still not getting any sound out of the right ear. Anyone have any suggestions?

have you tried the headset on another source, mp3 player?
the short may be in the cable, or down the plug end.
you might have to replace the entire cable.

Yeah, I've tried it on a MP3 player and it didn't work on that either. One of the issues is that it needs a USB to power it up and the MP3 doesn't have a USB. I've been searching all over the net and trying to come up with a possible solution, but all I can find is stuff about soldering the wires back to the speaker. I wish that were the issue I was having because they'd be fixed and working by now.
