Hello,
i installed xp on my laptop that already had vista preinstalled in it. and now my vista platform doesnt boot ant more, all my files are in the vista platform, how can i get my vista back? please help me....michael Nigeria

Hate to say it, but unless you installed XP on a separate partition on your hard drive (which it sounds like you did not) you are screwed. Whenever you install an operating system it completely overwrites anything that was currently on the drive unless you specify a new partition. You really should have backed your files up before you did this because they are now gone.
