Help choosing laptop processor

Currently I have an Acer with an AMD E2 processor that just isn't cutting it as a second machine. I'm looking to replace it and am not sure how far up the list I need to go. I'm only looking to do some web browsing, videos, maybe some office work on occasion. Absolutely no intensive gaming. I had decided on an Intel i series but looking at some benchmarks makes me thing an AMD A6 or A10 could fit better. I'm also considering going with a Chromebook with a Broadwell Celeron. Cost is more of an issue than peak performance. I just can't take waiting 30 seconds for a web page to load when I know it's a processor bottleneck. If it matters my primary machine is a desktop running an FX-6300 at 4gHz.

It's better for you to go A6 or A10 since laptops with AMD are cheaper and competitive with Intel's i3 or i5 U series CPU. IMO. Or spend little bit more to get i3 6100u or i5 6200u 15w CPU, and you will get 4-6hrs of battery life out of your laptop. I don't know about AMD because I personally use i7 6500u and the battery life is more than enough.

Consider to avoid Celeron, It's intel super-budget oriented CPU. But it's still a good performer, current gen Celerons and Pentiums are good for office tasks and multimedia.

And stay away from Chromebooks, they are c r a p IMHO. They need to be always connected to internet to perform basic tasks, some units are underpowered with small SSD (usually 24GB to 30GB). But the plus side is very cheap.

I would pick up at least an i3-6100u/7100u. Potentially an i5-6200u/7200u
