Help! Files not deleting!

Hi,

Someone decided to play a prank on me and made 76 copies of the same file onto the desktop. I then tried to delete them all at once, which then resulted in the error that it couldn't find said files anywhere.

I went into CMD and tried to delete the files with the command rd /S "\\?\Exact path to the files.

No luck.

Any suggestions?

Just went into cmd and used dir /x command, file isn't even there.

on the desktop? just drag a box to delete them all.

tried, its saying i cant delete and its not found. Went into CMD and found the folders really do not exist AT ALL. I double checked with the AVG file shredder and its just not there.

Unless I create a shortcut, they do not appear and I cannot do anything at all with the files.

what do you mean "tried and say i can't delete"? what is the exact message?

any special char in the file name?

When I right click and press delete, it gives me an error saying that the folder/file isn’t found and to verify it’s location again. Bear in mind that Command Prompt can’t even find the file.
