Help locating the right product

My daughter is a fashion design major in College. She mentioned something about something that she could draw her sketches on and then it can go onto her computer. I think it was some kind of notebook but I honestly don't know. She would love to have this and I want to get her one for Christmas but I don't know what it is.

But I wouldn't suggest buying it without asking her as I think spoiling the surprise is less of an issue than disappointing her with the wrong thing.

Obviously there are other brands of sketch tablet. Another possibility is a flatbed scanner -- you put in original paper drawings and it digitises them.
