So, i'm looking to buy a new MSI laptop and i'm having difficulty choosing which one to choose.
I am not able to buy laptop online since i live on a small island and i want to pay monthly installments.

i can choose from here: http://www.scanmalta.com/scanshop/gaming/laptops.html?dir=asc&order=price
I am debating these two options:

MSI GE72 7RE Apache Pro 17.3" €1,530

  • -Intel Core i7-7700HQ 2.8 GHz
    -16GB DDR4 2133MHz
    -1TB HDD + 128GB SSD
    -4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti

MSI GE62VR Apache Pro 15.6" €1,611

  • -Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.8 GHz
    -8GB DDR4 2400MHz
    -1TB HDD +128GB SSD
    -3GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060

I don't know what is my best bet here since the 7re has a slight better cpu but weaker gpu. And the older one has a better cpu.

My concerns are:

  • -is the 1050ti enough ? I don't want it getting outdated after a year.
-is the vram on the 1060 (3gb) too little?
-does a newer msi model have any extra features?

i generally don't play the latest AAA games, i play overwatch, cs:go, rocket league, league of legends, bf4. I know these are not demanding and can be run on the 1050ti but as i mentioned earlier i want it to last more than a year.

Any tips ? :D

CPU is almost same. 8 GB of RAM is enough for the games you like to play. And the 1060 3GB is fast more better than 1050Ti, though it's 4GB. But the 1st one is also not bad. The 1050Ti can last for atleast 1 year. But no one knows the future of PC gaming. Get the one which is cheaper for you.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from JustARandomDude : "MSI Laptop Generation"

I have been reseacrhing for a long time and it seems i am still not decided, have these options, since i live on an island i have a very limited variety to choose from. (I live in Malta)
(all can be found: http://www.scanmalta.com/scanshop/gaming/laptops.html)
I am not buying any laptops online since i'd have to deal with a lot of shipping cost and i will not be able to pay monthly.

MSI GE72 7RE Apache Pro 17.3" €1,530.00
Intel Core i7-7700HQ 2.8 GHz
16GB DDR4 2133MHz
1TB HDD + 128GB SSD
4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti
Weaker 1050ti card but a little bit better cpu.

MSI GE62VR Apache Pro 15.6" €1,611.00
Intel Core i7-6700HQ 2.8 GHz
8GB DDR4 2400MHz
1TB HDD +128GB SSD
3GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
Gtx 1060 but with 3gb vram. 8gb ram might not be so future proof.

I usually don't play the latest AAA games, i usually play rocket league, overwatch, league of legends, battlefield 4 and csgo. (According to the games i play a 1050ti would be enough but i'd like my laptop to be future proof and not be useless after a year, ideally serves up to 2 years and not be equivalent to a microwave)

Any suggestions ? I have created threads and still am undecided, hoping this will be the final one.
i don't now if a newer msi model will have added features (i noticed the newer one has a usb 3.1 gen 2 which i'm not sure what is used for.)
