Help me! i have aptop and it suddenly started saying error loading operating sy

i have av laptop and when i turn it on it says error loading operating system...what do i do? before this happened i accidently dropped it off my couch..1st time it has ever been dropped

Killed the hard drive, broke the hard drive, or knocked the hard drive loose (highly unlikely)

Your laptop should have a recovery disk or a way to access a recovery partition, this is the first thing to try.

Was it running when you dropped it? Also, is your floor carpet or something hard?
