Few days ago, I decided to buy a gaming laptop rather than a desktop as I needed one more portable due I had an idea of gaming at my friends house etc... Hands down! I want a laptop!

I need a laptop which including shipping is under 1600 euros and if the laptop is outside of the EU one must add 18% to the value + shipping of the item. I want a powerful laptop with the GPU of 880m so I can play games on high settings (1920x1080). Of course, than the other components with the same level of the GPU to enchant my gaming capabilities.

Some research I did was to buy this MSI GT70 DOMINATORPRO-890.
It doesn't seem to be a high-end company so I wish to know some reviews of this model and background information of the company and what problems their models frequently encounter.

Thanks!

PS: There is a limited time to buy so please reply quickly with a nice review why I shouldn't buy this laptop.

MSI makes good stuff and crappy stuff. Most of their gaming laptops are OK. I would buy an Alienware with the amount of money you have. The Alienware 18 was the best gaming laptop of 2014. MSI stuff breaks..... a lot. Just go on Alienware's website and choose the laptop that has the best stuff in it for the price you can pay. All of this years have the 880M, with the exception of the 14.

Thanks for answering. The problem with Alienware is the price! It jumps an extra 300 euros without shipping which an overdue to my budget. I have to keep with the budget or at least very close. Well, this specific model do you think is worth buying? I mean does it have a lifespan of 3-5 years min. ?

I tried to search for reviews but couldn't so if you are able to find some reviews that would be appriecated? Maybe you can provide me with a link of a good laptop?

CLEVO is a large Taiwanese computer company specializing in laptops. While the Clevo brand name is perhaps not widely known, their products are re-branded and sold by known boutique brand OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers)… notably Sager, VoodooPC, Falcon Northwest, Eurocom, etc. They are also considered (by whoever knows about notebooks) to design and manufacturer the best of the best notebooks in terms of superior build quality and innovative designs.

You'll find dealer locations at end of each FAQ

Alienware used to make pretty good laptops ..... that was because Clevo made them for Alienware .... the Dell bought Alienware and the relationship w/ Clevo ended. Well, not completey, they were still using some Clevo chassis for a while but took rest of components from their own supply channels (i.e. screens) which was a step down. Provided you have a decent reseller, the service on the Clevo is outstanding. usually the guy who sells ya the box is your TS contact thru the life of the machine.

What if you went down to the Alienware 17 instead of the 18? It is a lot cheaper, with good specs still.

Thanks for replying. Well, Clevo seems to be a good company especially having made builds for Alienware.

Can you provide me with a direct link of the customized laptop with the specs I wrote in my first/original post.

Thanks!

Ofc, the Processsor must be a quad-core or higher with a GHz of higher than 2.4/2.6, 8/12gb ram or over etc...
PS; VERY simillar to the MSI laptop.

THE LAPTOP LINK YOU WANTED[/quotemsg]

First of all thanks for all the help. But, when I contacted lpc-digital they told me that the shipping to europe was $519 which I think it forces over my budget. So, I decided to look for another laptop within Europe and found this site https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/. On which base model should I configure my laptop and secondly which is better 860m SLI or 880m

What about the mSATA drive with the sager special? I may buy this laptop exactly as you described from lpc-digital but it appears to come with mSATA on top of the two hard drives you listed (the SSD one and the 7200rpm one). Do i need all 3? Appreciate the need for fast load SSD and using the 7200 rpm one for pictures and stuff. Just not sure what the mSaTA is for?

SLI. Although some games don't utilize it in full, it can bump frame rates up another 75%.
