Help on HP Laptop BIOS Upgrade

Hello,

I have an HP zv5255us Pavilion notebook that I wish to upgrade the CPU. Currently have AMN3400BKX5BU which is an AMD Mobile 64 processor. I tried a new AMN3700BKX5BU processor in the 754 socket. The install went well but on restart the screen was blank.

The current BIOS is Phoenix and F.35 (latest) from HP.

What BIOS upgrade can I install to run this new CPU?

If you already have the latest BIOS, your out of luck. It may be that new CPU just isn't supported. It's always wise to research something like this before you purchase to make sure it would be supported.
