help pls! I have connected laptop to TV via VGA nut does not play

I have successfully connected laptop to TV. Blank Windows screen is displayed. I can not see any icons (the pointer is visable on TV nor see videos from Netflix, YouTube videos, etc. The audio worked for a YouTube video.

I apologize, not used to using this forum. yes, correct input. I do have audio thru TV just not showing vid (only the blank windows screen)

How about checking the laptop for dual monitor output

You need to actually move the window you want to show on the TV to the TV or setup a cloned display setup. Right now you seem to have it set to extended so the two screens can show different things.
