I have Westel modem (192.168.1.1) through Verizon and a Dlink 655 wireless router (192.168.0.1). I am trying to set up a Tenvis JPT3815W IP (192.168.0.240, port 82) camera. I can access through my LAN but not over the internet.
After several hours a day over this week I decided to ask the professionals.
I know I have to forward ports but it doesnt seem to matter. Probably doing it wrong Could anyone walk me through this step by step? Product support sites are not responding.
Thanks!

Are you trying to access a 192.168.XXX.XXX ip address over the internet? That doesn't work. Those ip addresses are only visible on your LAN. Your internet providers assigns you one or more addresses for public use.

Hi Jozeph...Thanks for responding.
No. I know that the 192.168,xxx,xxx is for viewing through my LAN only. The address to view outside the LAN is btid.mytenvis.com (http://71.97.238.252:82/) but the page say unable to connect. I'm at a loss...
