help to replace the battery!

hello everyone
i wanted to replace the battery of my compaq ipaq but
i've foun that it is attached via a yellow cord, i don't
have any idea of how can i replace the battery myself.
please help me!

is the wire part of the battery? does it unplug
from the other end?
what ipaq is it? i have the 2210, the battery is
square, flat, with no wires.

back cover and i find this wire attach both at the pocket
pc and to the cover to, also i opened a 3800 series and
is identically the way the back cover is attached>
help please
