How do I connect my MyGica Android box(Quad Core ATCv585) to my Samsung home theatre system(hts)? I tried using HDMI cables from the box to the hts and from the hts to the TV.

No sound. Just connecting the box to the TV (checked the TV volume) - also no sound. Checked that the sound was on, on the box remote.

Image seems to be 100%. Just no sound.

The hts as near as I can figure is a blue ray 3D tall boy surround sound. Still cant seem ti find the model nr. Has to HDMIs, one in and one out. Think it can take an optical as well. Just dont know how thats going to help.

The box has one each HDMI, LAN and AV port.

Any advice please?

I have used many 1GB ram 8GB storage android boxes similar to yours and they stream fine.
What are you using to connect to the internet, wifi or Ethernet.
I also recommend Ethernet as you will get the full speed of your broadband.
Download the Ookla app which allows you to test your internet speed on an adroid box.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Ookla&hl=en_GB
Look at the following guide to see if your speeds meet the minimum requirements for streaming

If everything looks good internet wise then the problem might be an installed app.
Look at the link I sent you for the firmware update and...

Thank you for your reply. I've found the setting. The person selling the box offered it as a free trial. He did not know how to fix it but someone must've switched off the "detect digital sound" option. Which I eventually found under advanced settings.

Have loads of buffering issues now. Tried several alternatives to fix this. According to the seller, he has the same box with no buffering issues and it should be our fibre line. We have a 50Mbps line (much faster than his) and when watching on my phone I dont have buffering issues often only with 1080p. Testing the line have found no issues. Cant even watch a 720p movie without buffering every 15sec. Tried it on Showbox and on several different links on Terrarium. Watching a series is worse. Seem to struggle even on 480p.

Have installed an app Apps2SD. Which partitioned the internal drive instead of the SD(my mistake as it was not identified clearly on the app). Now it doesnt want to install any new apps saying "no space". I uninstalled the app with no difference with above new problem. Tried to partition the SD again but it keeps writing to the internal partition, which it now also labled as SD.

So far we can only watch movies and some series using poor resolution. Note that I have tried rebooting the box to clear cache and did this manually as well. We have 383Mb cache left which should be plenty?

Really not enjoying the experience so far. And weve only had it for 10 days.

Any tips advice would be very much appreciated. Please note we are newbies to this. So pro jargon would go over my head

I am trying to figure out why it has so many buffering issues. If its firmware I need to know what specs the new box need to have to let us enjoy 720/1080p movies without buffering. Or else, what settings I need to change or apps/addons to install?

Would the internal DDR RAM etc as on your link of that box help to eliminate buffering? I asked the seller this exact question as another box with 4Gig RAM is available but obviously more expensive. I could not get a decisive answer.

Thank you to all thats trying to help this noob....

Look at the link I sent you for the firmware update and follow the guide to "Hard reset" your box.
This will revert it back to a fresh install.
Hope this helps

Thank you for your continued advice.

We use fibre. And only the box and 2 phones using the bandwidth. With a 50Mbps line it is more than capable of streaming 60fps and faster.

I will relook the link you sent. As its a box on loan, I did not want to do too many changes. Choice now beeing, to take a more expensive box with greater amount of RAM or if its some other issue. No one seem to be able to point me in a direction to narrow down the cause yet, but I am learning a lot through this experience.

If its an app issue it should surely show me somewhere which one uses up all the cache.

As I cant download anything at the moment its a bit of a headache. This being due to the fact that the bloody App2SD app has somehow changed the path to where it downloads to the smalles partician of 400Mb before I uninstalled it. Dont know where to change it or why it does not seem to accept the changes I try to make.

Anyhoo. Will keep on looking.
