Help with DisplayPort to DVI

sorry if this post doesnt belong here...

i just bought a DisplayPort to DVI for my TV... so i have a question... does that send audio too?... or i have to buy a DisplayPort to HDMI ?.... im using a ATI 5830...

if DisplayPort to DVI can send audio how do i setup that s*** ??.... ty

no, the DVI does not have audio, the HDMI should.

well i went yesterday and change the DP to dvi for a DP to hdmi and yes i have audio... BUT i cant use the 3 monitors :S... something about passive and active thing.... so i had to go back and change again and buy a audio cable and now everything is working fine... my tv the 2 monitors etc...
