Solved! Help with repair of 65" Samsung UN65JU6500FXZA

I have a Samsung UN65JU6500FXZA 65" ultra HD TV. It works fine in most ways, but I can't use HDMI. As soon as I try to go to an HDMI source, it brings up an updating screen that never goes away. I have left it for days and it never finishes.

I have factory reset it many times and even manually updated the firmware with a USB stick, but it still does the same thing.

I think it just needs a main board swap. Do any of you TV gurus concur? Can you point me somewhere that can help further?

If the TV has an HDMI input board that could be at fault.
