Help With tv and dvd

I have a rca tv and a magnavox DVD player need help hooking it up because it's showing black and white

If your TV has a shared component composite video input you have to change the setting in the TV menu.
When you connect composite video to the correct jack of the 3 component video jacks you get bw unless you change it in the TV menu.
