hooking up klipsch sb11 and lguh8500 to att uverse using hdmi

Is there anyone here that can please assist me in this installation? I have the HDMI out of Uverse going to the Klipsch sb11 then out of the klipsch sb11 to the LG 4k uh60uhd8500 input hdmi1 arc.
It works for awhile then the LG says no input, it does this for differing amounts of time, sometimes it works an hour or two or longer and sometimes a couple of minutes.
What am I doing wrong?

Try connecting the Uverse to an unused HDMI input on the TV instead of the soundbar.
That will eliminate the soundbar as causing the problem. If it works then you can leave it set up this way. Audio will go through the TV to the soundbar.
