I have a laptop that obviously has either too strong of locktite on the screws, or it has too much. How to I break then loose without damaging the shell?

It seems like they are so tight that when I tried to break two of them loose already that screw bases came loose, so now the screws just spin in place.

Solution
sounds like that somebody used the industrial version of crazy glue as I retighten all laptop shell screws as they become loose over time. even new laptops the screws are not tight enough. do you have access to a hair dryer?

Solution
acetone dissolves superglue completely - as in nail polish remover.

Not sure id want to be dripping it into laptop screw holes though in all honesty,it can dissolve circuit board coatings & lcd screens pretty easily too!

madmatt, I wonder if it would melt the plastic of the casing? stop hitting that crt monitor before you break it.
