How can I connect HDMI output from my Sony Vaio laptop to display on my HDTV which has RCA (Composite), and DVI input

I have a Sony Vaio Pro (2013 vintage) laptop with HDMI output. I would like to connect that to my Sony GRAND WEGA HDTV model KF-50WE620 (2005 vintage), which has RCA Composite Video input - 5 coax cables, RGB for video and White and Red for Audio. The TV is still very good so I don't want to replace it right now.

hdmi and dvi are signal compatible so you should be able to get an adapter or cable. I didn't understand whether there was a DVI as you mentioned it in the subject but not in the post.

You can use an HDMI to DVI cable for video and a stereo audio cable with a mini plug at on end and a pair of RCA plugs at the other end.
You can also use a converter like this one

but the DVI will give you a better picture in most cases.
