How can I have a practical way to switch between 20+ HDMI devices on a single TV?

Hey,
I am currently building my own gaming cabinet/shelving for all my consoles. The only issue that I have is that I up-scale most of my retro consoles to HDMI, so practically every console is connected through HDMI. My TV has only a has a single HDMI port. I know I could use several HDMI switches, and then use another to switch to change between them, but is there a better way I could do this? Perhaps something as simple as a larger HDMI switch or more complicated like making something custom? Any input would be cool!

You might be able to use one or two of these

along with an HDMI switcher. Since your TV has only one HDMI input it might be more cost effective to upgrade your TV to one with multiple HDMI inputs rather than add external
switching and get a better picture too.
