how can i reactivate my old blackberry boost phone?

my friend gave me her old blackberry boost phone.. I just bought a 40$ card for it.. i have been trying to activate it all night, trying dif things... now i need the <PTN> code? where can I find this? this phone is about 2 years old, so she doesn't have the box or anything for it anymore.

your best bet would be to contact Boost, or whichever carrier you are triyng to register on.
