How can I remove these screws on my HP 15-ak002na?

Hello, I am trying to change my RAM and apparently need to remove some screws above the
optical drive.

Any ideas? Are they actually some kind of clip?

There is also a youtube video here. Around 2:08 shows points to the screws location, but I can't understand what it says unfortunately!

Thanks, I tried that though, and it says they are Philips screws. They don't look like it to me.

Hi, try to remove the bottom, when you pull from the area of the DVD go gently, you will know if you have something to remove. Maybe they changed the design and don't use screws in that area.

Thanks, I tried that, and there is definitely some resistance. A bit much for me to pull much harder. I will see if I can talk to someone at HP who knows on Monday. I have my doubts based on previous experience, but it could be the only way to find out.

Shame the documentation isn't correct though.

Super, thanks. Looks like I don't need to do anything about the optical drive (apart from take it out), but I *do* need to remove the craftily hidden screws under the little plastic covers!

Sometimes some companies cover screws under plastic covers.
