How can I use laptop, like TV, to connect my action camera with HDMI cable?

I have prestigio 710x camera, and I can't connect to Tv, (no HDMI ports) to get in the camera settings. I try connect HDMI cable to same port in my laptop, but nothings happened. What can I do to solve this problem? Must install some program? I have Win7. Help me

you cant.. HDMI is output on your laptop.. not input.

Technically everyone who has answered is wrong. They are saying all HDMI ports on Laptops are HDMI OUT. Whilst this may have been true 10 years ago, quite a few laptops are now standard with HDMI IN and OUT ports, it just depends on the laptop. My Alienware has both ports, I can connect PS4, Xbox, Firesticks ect to it and have it display on laptop screen. As I said it depends on make, model and age of laptop. Hope that helps

This thread is already 4 years old, referring to a laptop that is probably older than that.
"everyone who has answered" is exactly 1 person.
And he was almost certainly correct, because the HDMI IN did not work with the OP's laptop.

"quite a few laptops" is still a far cry from "all".
