I can't connect a blu ray home theatre to a Emerson tv Whit HDMI

Did you try another HDMI port? Made sure you have the right input selected? I have seen HDMI devices not work with each other properly, especially older ones. I had a tube HD Sony TV with HDMI, one of the DVD players I had would not show an image only play audio.
