Solved! how do I enable the hdmi-cec on my TCL Roku tv

I've connected my blue ray dvd to my Roku TCL tv but it says there is no signal says I need to enable the hdmi-cec but I don't know how to that

That's wrong. CEC doesn't give u the video signal, it's a control mechanism to turn TV on/off as u power dvd or switch to the proper input automatically without you having to do it manually.

Try another port, another cable.

But CEC enable/disable is under system->inputs.

Thank you just bought the dvd player and new HDMI cable it keeps telling me theres no signal

For a DVD player, it maybe more advantageous to hookup through COMPONENT VIDEO, a 5-cables hookup, for some people with HDMI problems. Of course TV must have this connection also.

Make sure that the BD player is turned on. Some TVs won't allow you to select an input if there isn't an active source connected. You may see the player home screen in one of the input icons on the set.
