Question How do I get at least 3 years of intern'l warranty / insurance for any laptop?

I am willing to pay extra. I just want to be able to choose the laptop I want. I'm not settled on one yet, but I'm looking at a range of 2in1 convertibles/ detachables (Surface Pro 6, various Lenovo Yoga models, Surface Book 2, etc.) Lenovo has an international warranty service, but it's not offered on all models (and particularly doesn't seem to be on any of their 2in1 models). Buying from Microsoft: it seems the most you can get is 2 years.

What can one do, really!? I want at least 3 years of peace of mind... I may or may not still be located in the same country (UK) in that time... So what is the possibility for me?

You need to contact the laptop vendor and/or the place you buy it from and ask about extended and international warranties. We would not have any information for you what is available in your area.
