So far I can only look at the boot of the c: drive. I want to work at my usb drive's boot.

Operating (c) drive is windows 10. USB drive (F) is windows 7.1. Getting "logon process initialization failure" when boot the 7.1. F: was a clone of C: Then installed windows 10 on C:.

Had driver problems with windows 10 so removed the windows 10 and popped the old 7.1 clone in but got that error. Never happened before.

Probably the problem is pretty clear for you, but not for me (I am sorry, it's Friday, I am tired).

What your USB drive has to do with your C drive unable to boot?

"Popped the old 7.1 clone" - what does this mean? Did you restore your old installation onto C drive, or you have tried booting of from a clone of your once-upon-a-time-C-drive onto now-USB-drive?
