Solved! How do I get my tosh a satellite out shutting down mode

I switch on my lap top as normal and the screen is continually displaying shutting down and it won't let me put in my password to open any program how do I clear this problem

Seems like you did not fully shut it down last time, hold in the power button for about 15 seconds, system should shut off, then turn it back on.
