how do I hook up a samsung hd tv,blu ray hd, to cable box not hd and a vcr?

I have a samsung hd tv, i want to hook up my blu ray, vcr and cable box which is not hd, i have tried but then i get no sound.

Might help if you provided some additional details, like what inputs does your HDTV have and what outputs your other components have. Either that or model numbers of each device.

Your Bluray would connect with HDMI which would give you picture and sound, Your VCR and your cable box will require separate video and audio connections. If don't get sound on the VCR and cable box you may have not made the audio connections.
