Need to connect my canon 550D to a projector via a PC so I can demonstrate setting the Camera up to take photos.

If you want to display the camera interface to a projector, no way to do that, but you can use the Canon remote program to show settings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0CX_3tguXI. You can also zoom in a web cam to the camera interface though and show that.
