Solved! How do I stop my headphones from leaking system audio?

My problem is: When I am in a voice call with people, they can hear the audio from apps such as a browser or spotify sometimes (especially if the volume is decently high). I use a headset for audio and as a microphone and I have confirmed that the sound is not leaking from my headphones into my mic (because it still happens when I mute my microphone on my headset). Some people tell me that I have to disable Stereo Mix in Sound Settings but I don't even see an option to do this. This is a very frustrating problem and I would appreciate any help.

which sound card are you using?

reinstall the sound chip/card drivers

which windows version are you using? win10?

if the option for stereo mix is not visible, it´s disabled by default

in sound options for the voice call software, have a look if the correct microphone is selected.
