How do you create the proper number of tracks when recording vinyl to a CD

I'm a new user of Sound Forge Audio 9. When I record a vinyl album, the wrong number of tracks is displayed. Before I transfer onto a CD, how do I create the proper number of tracks?

I don't use Sound Forge as I don't normally do sound editing.

But why don't you record the vinyl as one single mp3 file onto the PC, then use sound editing freewares to manually create multiple mp3 files, then burn that onto the CD, using media player?
